Believe it or not I'm pretty self conscious about my body since I gained some weight. I was gonna post this in Jesse's body thread but I've never posted my body before so I felt weird about posting it on someone else's post. I wanted to make my own 🙈 that way I can regulate & delete any bad comments that come in. Even though I know Jesse is good about that too.

I think in recent years we've gotten so accustomed to Instagram guys being all bulked up for some reason people think that normal. But actually when your young your skinny unless you're plumper. Mostly due to the hormones and fast metabolism. But as we get older we fill out and the metabolism slows down since fat and energy is used differently.
You're in a situation now where if you wanted to tone up you'd do it pretty fast. As you have a decent body mass/fat ratio.
But you also have to consider the lifestyle you lead. Do you have the time for the gym?
@Mellowgirl well, the one you can see on my neck there is a tree that's half alive/half dead. Similar idea as a tree of life.. but more realistic imo. The tatt you sort of see on my inner arm is a quote that says "things like this ain't built to last, I might just fade like those before me". I decided to make my left side dedicated to life & my right side dedicated to death. So there's still a lot more to come.
You make good points though so thanks. I actually think I'm in a good shape to start working out & get good results but I'm just being kinda lazy because it's been so long 😅 It'll be tough at first while I get accustomed to it again. I could make the time, I just haven't committed yet 😬 but I need to

Nah you're good man. I've put on weight recently too because I quit smoking. I'm also 30 this year and it's not natural to look lean and muscular. I've tried and it's like running up a slippery hill. The standards we try to live up to are difficult, let alone being slim AND having muscles? it's like trying to be two contradictory things at once.
@Ryannnnnn yeah that makes a lot of sense. I'm 25 now so I'm kinda like damn I better get in shape now because the longer I go the harder it gets 😅 but it's true, the standards are pretty unrealistic & that might be why I'm not the only one who feels this way. Also good on you for quitting smoking, good food is way better lol (even though I smoke but.. weed)
@ChiefWalksWith40oz I'm still gonna smoke cigars or a cigarette every once in a while haha. Yeah you're right and I've got the same attitude, I found it's best to do it for the fact that it feels really good, rather than trying to look good for some other person.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether @basilfawlty89 I indeed have indigenous ancestry. I'm both Mexican & Yaqui which is a Mexican native American tribe that goes way back to the Aztec empire in Mexico. When the Aztec empire was lost, the remaining ones formed 3 major tribes, one of which, was mine. I didn't know that the natives from here actually crossed over from Asia all that time ago though. That is a lot further back then I've ever looked into but that's so cool. I'm so curious now
@ChiefWalksWith40oz I mostly look like a white boy, but my dad's side is Mexican. My grandad was Mexicanero, which were also Aztecs and other Nahua people who fled into the mountains when the Spanish conquered Tenochtitlan.

@Wallflow3r just preference. I like it better on the other side because of a symmetry thing with my piercings. I like it being on the opposite side of my eyebrow piercing 👌
@Wallflow3r once when I got my tragus piercing, I didn't feel like it was symmetrical so I went back the next day to get the other side too 😂 idk why I'm like that lol
