Believe it or not I'm pretty self conscious about my body since I gained some weight. I was gonna post this in Jesse's body thread but I've never posted my body before so I felt weird about posting it on someone else's post. I wanted to make my own 🙈 that way I can regulate & delete any bad comments that come in. Even though I know Jesse is good about that too.
I'm not asking for other pictures btw I just wanted to post my own 😬 please don't be rude 😶

@HootyTheNightOwl a year & a half ago I was 145lbs which is pretty light. Last I checked, I'm 170lbs now. Which is like a 25 pound increase when I've never been more than 145 in the past. So maybe I'm being harsh on myself but I notice the difference in my body so much & I have fat that I never had before. Maybe I'm judging myself harshly but a lot of us do. It just depends on how we're used to seeing ourselves I guess
@ChiefJustWalks It's not just about the number on the scale, though. Look at yourself in the mirror with no clothes on... you don't look overweight even with the additional weight that you have gained.
Just like you don't want to look overweight, you also don't want to look too skinny, either.
One thing that bugs me about the medical profession these days is that they tend to focus on BMI and discount the fact that muscle tends to be heavier than fat - so, all those bodybuilders and wrestlers on TV are more than likely weighing in at "morbidly obese" since they will be using the same charts as everyone else (they aren't fat, either, they have a lot of muscle).
You have to be careful that you don't lose so much weight that your body starts to break down muscles to keep itself fuelled up.
@HootyTheNightOwl yeah tbh it's not really the "weight" exactly that's an issue for me. I didn't like weighing 145 & I did wanna be heavier. But the fact that all that weight came in fat & not muscle is something I'm not used to seeing on me & when I look in the mirror I don't like it 🥺 I don't really wanna lose the weight.. I just need to turn it into muscle so it doesn't look as bad to me. I think I'm at a great weight if it was all muscle. You make very good points though & I'd agree with every bit
