What do you think about celebrities embracing the "no makeup trend?"

Recently Pamela Anderson made a bold statement by attending Paris Fashion Week with no makeup. Years ago Alicia Keys stopped wearing makeup. For the women here who are used to wearing makeup, do you ever just go without it in public? How does it make you feel? Do you feel "free" or self conscious?
And for the men- what do you think about this trend of women forgoing makeup, even if they don't look nearly as attractive? Are you attracted to women without makeup, or do you prefer them all glammed up, even if it takes them hours to get ready?
Does anyone think the makeup free trend will get the point where it's unstylish to wear makeup?
My whole life I have worn tons of makeup- mainly to cover scars, pale eyelashes and eyebrows, wrinkles, etc. But the older I get, the less makeup I wear- now I just wear a little eyebrow pencil and some very natural fake eyelashes. I would love to have the confidence to go completely without makeup, but not there yet.

i stopped wearing it a long time ago. started out wearing a lot as a teen, then went to barely there make up where i was only doing my eyes and wearing sheer cocoa butter lip balm. then make up started hurting my eyes. now i just use sweet almond oil to moisturize and lip balm. it is what it is, i don't care what men or women think and i save a lot of money and time. strangely, it's been mostly women who question it.

@SW-User I totally understand. When I go without makeup, especially eye makeup, people always ask me if I am sick, or that I look like I don't feel good. But then when I glue on my lashes, I get all kinds of guys flirting with me and lots of compliments. But I feel fake and miserable and my eyes water and itch. Can't win for losing. Lol

I love women with or without makeup, her beauty and strength to me is being a feminine woman.

I wear makeup as a crossdresser and could never go without it myself.

But to each to their device I say.

@Mardrae I love eye makeup and lipstick the most, I have no idea what the style maybe called though, But I love plumping up my eyelashes.

@WillaKissing very nice! And not too overdone at all! I like it!

@Mardrae Thank you, and without makeup I would not have this look. I hate the Gawdy drag queen makeup looks and shoot for actual real life presentational looks.

Thank you,
Willa

I do not like the bright red lipstick- I see many celebrities wearing it - I think it looks tacky

I only wear make up when I’m going to a wedding or Gala (which is not often)

It's simple
None of us are perfect so let people like you for who you are and that kind of friendship will last a lot longer

I'm indifferent. I like a celebrity because they have a talent I admire
I like no or little make up. That's just my preference.

@Spoiledbrat I admire women who don't wear any. I always think they are absolutely beautiful

Put the make-up back on.

@Mardrae Pam. She looks kind of plain without make-up. Of course I mean from her neck up.
Mardrae · F
@Nitedoc she does, but I can only imagine how freeing it must be for her to not wear it. Imagine how her life must have been- to only be known as a sex object and having to constantly keep up that image. It must be exhausting for her. And what I noticed from the article was how she was dressed too- very baggy, conservative clothing. It was almost like she didn't want to be recognized, or she just wanted to remake herself into a more mature older woman instead of a glamorous sex object. Remember a few years back when she went back to her natural hair color and cut her hair in a pixie? I think this is something she's been wanting to do for years.

@Mardrae You make a good point. 🤔

I never wear makeup up. It hurts my skin and eyes.
