I think… some people can’t be replaced like no one could ever replace my kiddo not even if I decided to have more. I would love each of them uniquely.
When it comes to past friends, family, and especially past lovers, a lot of the time as I get older, have certain realizations, and significant change as a person I’ve outgrow my past ideas of love and those attachments to the idea of them/what we had. There’s nothing I’d want to ‘replace’.
Who my current partner is now is not an addition to lovers I’ve given my heart to nor a replacement.

Loving people does not displace others whom you loved before. Love doesn’t work that way.

You can grow to love more people…the heart is expansive that way.

I think that depends on the person. A lot of people I know happily replace previous loves they had. Some parents do pick favorites. We all love differently. Nothing wrong with that.

Yes. I definitely love and care about more people than ever before, but distance and a variety of circumstances can keep us apart… like moving away for family or work…etc

Love is about giving !
The special thing about it is that it makes you even more wealthier when you give more.

I believe that the more people you love, the closer you are to God.
