Do you think that love is something that just grows around what you already know?

Like even you start to care for new people and things, they are no replacement for those you love before them. Like your metaphorical heart just increases in size to accommodate the increasing number of loved ones.

In a way, it's like how a parent having a new kid could still care for both old and new kids equally.

I think… some people can’t be replaced like no one could ever replace my kiddo not even if I decided to have more. I would love each of them uniquely.

When it comes to past friends, family, and especially past lovers, a lot of the time as I get older, have certain realizations, and significant change as a person I’ve outgrow my past ideas of love and those attachments to the idea of them/what we had. There’s nothing I’d want to ‘replace’.
Who my current partner is now is not an addition to lovers I’ve given my heart to nor a replacement.
