I hate hugs

I have always hated hugs but totally avoiding them became akward at times so I stopped telling people that I hate hugs.
So today Im at the airport and I see a work colleague. I haven't seen her in a year because we work in different cities so she says " hey give me a hug before you go".
So I am feeling friendly and I like her so I try to give her a real hug my face gets slightly squished near her neck for a second making this like a kiss on her neck馃檮馃檮
How lame and weird. I hate hugs truly.

@smiler2012 I had friends who were really touchy with me. I鈥檓 not going to detail how because I respect them. I tend to let my friends do what they want with me cause it鈥檚 just flesh. Most people though are respectful and don鈥檛 take advantage. I am also very touchy but only with close friends and the ones that are, drown in tlc. It can sometimes be too much for them.

@smiler2012 I like the intention of hugs but I am too akward and I normally don't touch anyone so its hard to have someone so close. It causes a bit of anxiety. I love the love of hugs but I hate the awkwardness of hugs if that makes sense.
Now I personally enjoy taking care of others so I frequently place my hand on the shoulder or arm of someone that I am comforting.
But I can only fully relax in a hug with someone that I have no discomfort or anxiety with such as my mom or husband.
