An old "friend" reappeared and is love bombing me again

I'm wise to it this time around, so no harm done. But this guy absolutely broke my heart a while back, and I never quite recovered. Kind of burned me against relationships and trusting people ever again.

Anyway, he's back, divorced, in recovery, and currently healing from a surgery. He actually had the b@lls to ask me if I would fly to his city and be his caretaker after surgery. Wtf?! After he broke my heart and then ghosted me for months? Pass.

I'm still attracted to him, unfortunately. We connected so deeply both intellectually and emotionally. We have so much in common we found it uncanny. Now, of course, some of that was the love bombing. But the connection is still there on many levels.

I'm not falling prey to this guy again.
