Have you ever broke someones trust , someone who loves you deeply , was transparent and honest about everything and you just lied ?

What did it take to rebuild that trust?
How did you navigate the whole situation?

Not me, but my wife did when we were dating in college. I understood why she did it and completely forgave her even before she confessed. It wasn't worth ruining our deep loving relationship.

@exexec thats lovely. The fact that the betrayal didnt ruin your relationship and shes now your wife is beautiful. How did you feel though? Did it hurt and why was ut so easy to forgive her even before she confessed ?

@Lee2025 It's a complicated story, but the bottom line is that I knew she loved me and only me. She made that clear to the men she cheated with. She was free to date, but not to have sex. The sex started when they discovered that two strong rum and Cokes made her clothes fall off and her legs spread. When I finally asked her to stop dating others, she stopped cold turkey. Never dated again.
