Like they aren't the reason as to why Haiti is in the situation that it is in right now. Haha there's no detention camps. You literally can't tell the difference between a dark skinned Dominican from a Haitian until they talk. Corrupt politicians from France, USA and Canada giving power to dictators that were more pro foreign trade over the well-being of their people. Then having foreign politicians suck Haiti's natural resources almost dry. Meanwhile, alot of Haitians fought for USA's independence. The thanks the USA gave was having politicians like the Clintons build a mine to suck more of the country's resources dry. Then try to create a campaign to have the island become one country. Slapping both sides of the island in the face. Who both are proud of their cultures. All while expecting a third world country who can hardly feed it's citizens take in a mass immigration that was created by the USA. Where there's hospitals serving more Haitians than Dominicans because of UN scare tactics. Why not make it easier for Haitians to move to the USA? A country that actually has the resources to support mass immigrations. Oh yeah, American immigration laws almost always favor western europeans. It's stuff like this is why more countries in Latin America are making more foreign policies that prefer the Chinese.
I think, in all fairness, that isn't necessarily bashing the Dominican Republic so much as warning folks that it's not safe to go there. But you're right, it does happen a lot.
