A thought...is it possible?

Humankind is a social species. We crave to be loved, wanted and accepted within society. This is natural behaviour.

Are we though responsible for our own happiness....or can we never truly be happy without the love of a lifetime partner?

🤔

Yes we can, it’s lonely at times for sure though.

{@lanie78] i guess some find they do not need a partner they maybe perfectly happy with this arrangement and work to the doctrine what you never had you never miss
Nearly anything is possible. i think it's entirely possible to obtain a personal sense of happiness without a partner, if one is contented in that life.

I believe that yes, you can be happy by yourself, but for most of us we can be happier still with someone to love and share

Having a supportive partner can help tremendously but a toxic partner can ruin your life for good.
I think we can once we choose to. We fisrt have to realize that we do have a choice.

We need a partner or companion or be in a group all the time to be happy but not necessarily one for a lifetime as nothing can last a lifetime and life only becomes mundane and boring.

A life partner adds something to a life that you can't get any other way. It brings a completeness without which you will be unhappy at least at times.

1. You can have more than one "other". Their significance may change from day to day.

2. You can have more than one " love of a lifetime".

Even with a lifetime partner you're not going to be happy all the time. Love isn't a constant emotion.

I'll let you know when I die
