The key to any relationship is basically 1. never criticize, and 2. praise, praise, praise. Like my dad. And my best friend and her husband praise each other daily since they were 16 yrs old, married 50 yrs. They do everything together and are always positive. I have never heard them complain about anything or said a negative word about anyone. same with my Dad always positive and praising people, hugging Mom daily. I do not understand negative people who gossip about others or politics or anything. I choose to be around positive people.
I would like to add this too, that when we are Christians, we will be persecuted but we don't argue ever, we forgive, and love our enemies, and do what Jesus says. we love everyone regardless how they treat us. Turn the other cheek Jesus says then we are true witnesses to a world that is watching..And in most families there might be a person who is not Christian but say they are. I believe if they don't act like it, they are not Christian at all and then we need to love them even more I don't believe in divorce, or blocking family members, and stuff like that. That is what the world does not us Christians.

That is such a beautiful testimony it brought tears. That's exactly the way people should love and forgive. Always. We never know what anyone's going through in their life. Maybe they've had too much on their plate and just can't take anymore. Whatever the reason, Jesus says to love always just like you said. I hope everyone will read your reply. God bless you. Thank you so much for this. I sure love that story about the married couple. That's the way it's supposed to be.

@Carazaa Very nice add on. It being all serious till now, I may add a funny note -
If you think she speaks very fast all the time then don't try to tell them "You speak so fast, calm down". Instead Just say, " Hey, yesterday, I was watching a movie - MATRIX and when the digits were flipping, I remembered the times we talk.

Great advice and wonderfully concluded with the "Golden Rule." 😊

Most people only listen to know when to speak again. When you should listen to understand. My late wife and I set rules for communicating when we were upset. After saying what we were upset about we would say how we should have handled it differently. That way it wasn’t blaming each other but stating the issue and how we could of helped the situation

We have been married 50 years with no serious arguments. Disagreements? Yes, we either discuss them or let them pass. Anger? Probably, but neither of us can remember a time when we were mad at each other. I guess we worked it out.
