Yes, I've always left who I was with. Always with many tears before and knowing I had to. No matter the tears flowing from my eyes, so if I'm the heartbreaker it was never without heart or consciousness as you allude towards.

@awildsheepschase I accept that entirely and respect it.
Had your response not touched me, in return, I would probably not have commented on it.

@SchoolBelle It's understood, thank you, I know little presence and profile will make many question, I'm used to it. But I have been harassed in the past here, and this is my way of keeping what friends I had without those aspects. I hope I was thoughtful in responses to the original topic.

@awildsheepschase Yes, your response - and this conversation - have been engaging.

Not at all. When I was younger I was rather frumpy and unattractive, and boys weren't interested in me (apart from a few who just wanted sex)
But on two occasions since then, men have confessed to me that they had a crush on me all those years ago, but didn't have the courage to do anything about it.

@JayneX Do you wish now that you had known then?
JayneX · 51-55, F
@SchoolBelle that's a very good question! I would have to say no, because I had a crush on another lad so I wasn't really interested in those boys who had a crush on me. If I'd known how they felt, it wouldn't have made any difference.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@JayneX Very understandable!
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
If I did, it was their fault for not telling me how they felt. They broke their own hearts.
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@SchoolBelle I don't want to blame shyness because that seems unfair. Shy people have a huge hurdle to get over. But those who didn't out of fear, they could have shown some courage.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@FoxyQueen Cowardice, then? I think I would rather characterise a person as shy than as a coward.
And, to be fair, I meant normal, social shyness, not as a pathological condition.

@SchoolBelle Fair enough.

Not me, other than a few crushes in high school. My wife was the heartbreaker who left a trail of broken hearts in college.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@exexec But not yours?
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
Nope
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Once. She kept on about marriage and I wasn`t ready for that.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@Degbeme That makes sense.
daaaan2000 · M
No not at all
ElRengo · 70-79, M
Doubt so
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
Laughs. No. That's not the case.
