I had an on off relationship over a period of 11 years.
It robs you of so much joy.
And as time goes on the break ups become more frequent and the time apart extends too. You then spend more time wishing to resolve things than actually working at the relationship in a loving and healthy way. The rush you get when you get back together is so euphoric is addictive.
It's not sustainable and I think can contribute to the world of health issues like high blood pressure, and strokes.

8 year relationship that ended about 4 months ago, though, in practice, it has been over since COVID lockdowns started in 2020.

The only arguments we had were initiated by myself and always the same reason, it would get better for a few days then back to the same routine.

The first 4 years of my marriage were like that. Before we had kids, I left my Husband at least once a month. We celebrate 45 years of marriage this year. 🙂

If I break up once, then it is final for that dating situation. I cannot play with others heart strings or emotions like a YoYo and I will not tolerate mine being played either.
