This is what makes me happy.

That this little guy can't wait to sit with me in bed. That he literally rushes to pile in and make himself comfortable with a loud purr and tender kisses.

To have this kind of love from a cat is to have everything in the world.

Cats very much don't need us. Unlike dogs that are practically bred to seek our validation, a cat is generally just fine in its own. That means when they choose to be with us, it is because they very much want to be with us. It is the fact that they make that choice that is just so powerful.
