Why are there so many forms of love?

They do in Japan. I think it’s a culture thing. They feel like we overuse the word love.

It's pretty confusing to me too. How can you use the same word when you talk about parents, a life partner and kids? It's weird af.

Ah, but which one?
Platonic love would mean no children
Universal love would give harmony but no lust
Self love would divide us
Romantic might be nice

It would, but love has never been so simple.

Because most of it is based on 'self' and self interest.
