How can someone intimidated by love...

Lower their view or expectation of it?

I recently heard author Mel Robbins say something like we make love this huge thing ( something to that effect), and how love is really about working together as partners.

I feel love is something that is too GOOD for me in my mind, so I get panicked at the thought of dating. How could we change the perspective of it, so that it feels attainable?

Maybe the intimidation comes from fear. Fear of vulnerability, being hurt, losing independence. Or commitment.
Lower their view or expectation of it?
That's an interesting thought. And idk. But for me, whenever I've been in love, it wasn't an expectation, it just grew into love without trying. The expectation came later.

Hmm..

@Coralmist My pleasure. 💐🩷

Oh see, there you have it!
I guess in order to just simply get out there, I can view it as more of a fun thing, vs. something related to my worth (and instead of whether they will *Love* me or not.

I just am too lazy to date.

If I am going someplace and a non-annoying woman wants to join me, I'm cool with that. But I am what I am and she gets what she gets!
