Some stuff from Nanori Land 🥔🥴

Today I wanted to buy coriander powder for my lunch ( I wanted to cook Molokhia 🥔🤤) I realised that there is an Iranian shop close by!! I went there, thinking that I will probably find coriander there, in addition to yummy stuff that I would probably like, and won't find elsewhere... OMG I loved being in that shop, too many spices and other things that I shopped... I got many things except for the grounds coriander which I couldn't find! O.o

I love drinking "laban" which is fermented milk, its familar/common name that some of you might know is Ayran or yoghurt drink which I find written on some of it.. I found it in some places since I came, but it is definitely not a common thing in most shops. I've been looking for it for a while now, and even that shop that used to have it, stopped getting it.. I found so many types there and bought one, and yet to try another!

I also got Turkish coffee which almost ran out , and got tahini candy too.. I don't eat that candy often.. Like literally once in a year time if not less.. But I have been craving it since I came here.. I noticed that, just because I know that it is not easily available everywhere, I start thinking of things that I want to have, even though before when I saw them daily in shops, I never bought them!!!

Like I also bought Za'atar Thyme which is a Palestinian blend that I haven't had in the house literally in years!!! Now when I found it, I was like, I MUST get that!! But I am thinking, I will bake something with it (I never baked before!!).

I also got spice blend that's used on yoghurt (or at least this is what I understood from what's written in Farsi)... I like to make Yoghurt with cumber, garlic, and I sprinkle dried mint on it.. I got that one and it tasted like mint, so I am guessing I was right..

I found Iranian chips and snacks that seemed to be old fashioned, and I thought to myself, baby @Nanori probably grew up eating those 🥔🥴

I think it was clear that I didn't understand farsi from the way I was looking at things, and when I went to check out, the man there kept asking me every time he checked something, do you know what this is?? Inside my head I was like; do I look like an idiot to buy stuff that I don't even know what they are!🥔🤷🏽‍♀️ Must be obvious on my face 🥔🥴 and then he took it to the next level and started explaining to me how to make yogurt with dried shallots step by step (or this is what I understood - I didn't even buy those, and didn't know that you can put them in yogurt).. at this point I thought, it must be clear on my face that I have a crush on Nanori, and now he is teaching me how to be a good wife 🥔🥴

Point of this long story, I am going back there I again!
