@Darksideinthenight2 Thinking about it, I am addicted to the presence of my family in my life, in a way. I even get physically sick when I am away from them. Kinda like being homesick.

Yes, especially with abuse one can form what's called a trauma bond where you can be trapped in feedback loops that look similar to addition in the brain.
