Street hockey was the best

On the street I grew up on there were many kids who were mostly a few years up on me but some were around my age. I remember we all rode our bikes around or just hung out but the one thing I remember most is playing street hockey. I loved playing and was actually pretty damn good at offense but was a rotten goalie. I remember being viscous hunting other kids down who got in my way of the puck and whacking people with my stick. I never could afford to play real hockey but if I could have ever afforded it I would have jumped at the chance. As for my stick I just borrowed one of the neighbor kids..My street hockey skills came in handy during gym class when it was time to play field hockey. Honestly hockey was the only sport I really ever felt a connection with and was something I actually was excited over sports wise. I don't really see anyone coming together to play games like that anymore at least not in my area.

Same, there was a kid in my neighborhood who was a hockey player, he would provide everyone with hockey sticks, we usually played with a tennis ball but one time we decided to play with a real puck, I took a puck to the face between my eyes lol, I miss those days, shout out to the homie Ronald, he's still plays hockey for a living.

I managed to play on ice and train for a short time with a real team when I could afford it myself. Blood clot in my leg took me out.

Hockeys forever in my soul. 🏒
