I remember when I was a kid way back in the 1900's...

And when I would see people in movies bust out their little metal cigarette case, to me that was peak sophistication right there. At the top A-list member of society. Every time they popped it open they made sure that you could see it. Not to offer you a cigarette but to remind you of why they are the coolest person there.


Well I didn't know how much they were or even where to get one pretty much my whole life. Redneck fellars like myself would not have access to such a fine symbol of status.

Well about a year ago I went to the smoke shop to grab some cigs and there one sit. I just stared at it like I just found the golden ticket. Well I asked the ole boy behind the counter how much that was and was braced and ready for his answer.










Twelve bucks! I was like no that metal cigarette case right there and he said "Yeah figured thats the one you meant since its the only one down there"

Touche!


I went almost 43 years thinking I would have to sling one of my kidneys at the least to get one. Nope! Twelve dollars.

Well I got it and every month or so ill break it out and use it and I am that guy. Takes me back to being a kid and now im sitting here holding the one thing that I knew I would never have in my possession.
