People rather change the truth than change their views about people... Its strange.

People often twist the truth to fit the image they’ve built of someone......because it’s easier to bend facts than to rebuild beliefs.

Why admit a hero has flaws or a villain has depth?

Our minds crave consistency, even if it means rewriting reality.

Why not we stay curious. Let truth surprise you; it could truly help understand others.

Hmmm, emotions and feelings are very different for people. One's truth can be a distortion to another.

It might be better said, to be curious, you also need to be curious of others.

@awildsheepschase Yup...it's never easy..

I agree, I’ve pulled people up on it for twisting things about others, I’ve had it myself many times.

@Achelois Did they understand?

@Renkon

Mhmm it’s a long story, no I don’t think they did. It caused issues in my family, it didn’t go down well.

@Achelois hmm..

I noticed that too. had a fight with my brother this weekend over the very subject. he doesn't do his research and just blames.

@akindheart Yes... It's easier to assume.... hard to seek the truth
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Renkon very very true.

Smart. "Let truth surprise you"! Versus misconceptions and bias. Some hold onto those stubborn thoughts and beliefs like it's life or death.
Renkon · M
@Magenta That’s true. Is not the truth more peace giving than clinging to our ego?
Magenta · F
@Renkon One would think so.

Admitting an error or apologizing is impossible for some.
