What TV stations did you have growing up?

We had seven channels living in New York City in the 1950s and 60s. CBS-2, NBC-4, WNEW-5, ABC-7, WOR-9, WPIX-11, and WNET-13.

I lived in different states. In Missouri in the early 60’s there was ABC, CBS, NBC…am thinking there was PBS but maybe not. All I know what that two of the major stations were pretty good but another one had bad enough reception with a lot of “snow” on the tv screen that it made it frustrating to try to watch anything. Then when I was about 20. I lived in Oklahoma and we got UHF channels, had to use a circular antenna that was screwed into the back of the TV to pick up channels. I really liked those channels finally got some good movies to watch and by then the TV was a color one.
