I've only just discovered this... Does anyone else feel drained by too much positivity?

I can tell they are saying it to be liked or because they think they have to 😬.

Barbara Ehrenreich's book, Brightsided: How Positive Thinking is Undermining America (2009) addresses that. Pretending everything is wonderful hurts everyone. Good change doesn't come from being happy.

@hunkalove this is more like excessive encouragement and compliments. Wouldnt call it lovebombing either. Its a bit tiring.

Sociopathic people can be 'too positive' at times

Management by cheerleading I call it.

@dancingtongue its all completely false. This person never includes me on their shoutout posts where it benefits me I've noticed. I find him slightly strange anyway.
