Recipe for disaster. Comparison is the thief of joy.

@OlderSometimesWiser true. i cry almost everyday at work bc of her lol. i’m a big ol baby😂😪
@LaurenRae Hope you’re able to get a handle on it because in life, there’s always gonna be someone who’s prettier, smarter, richer, etc., etc. So if you don’t learn to be happy with yourself, you’re in for a long, sad, difficult journey.

You are a very pretty young woman. Comparing yourself to others is a lost cause. Then you get down on yourself and it becomes unnecessarily self-defeating. I get it though. When I was younger I used to compare myself to the guys that always seemed to get the girls and be envious of their looks. I learned it's all superficial in the end. Just be the best Lauren you can be and that's awesome I'm sure. :)

You are also going through some life changes, so it's natural you feel insecure.. Try to be confident with yourself and know this time will pass. It really will even if it doesn't feel that way.

Feelings like that are normal, at least you have the insight to recognise them. The game is not to let it affect your decisions.

Never compare yourself to others; for you are a PERFECT you.

My advice is try to always believe in yourself. You have no reason to play second fiddle.

Some of us aren't into the barbie types 🤷 I usually feel like they're fake. "Real" is so much more attractive

Work is the place to be professional.
If you have colleagues fawning over 'the new girl', they're behaving anything but.
Rise above it and recognise that in the real world it means nothing.

Guys don't go for looks, they go for somebody who's interested in them. (Unless you're trying to fish in the top pool.)

Let them all go waste their time chasing her around. Before you know it, a real man who sees and appreciates a woman for more than just her painted on face will come along and become your prince charming.
Yeah, I love it when that happens. New hot chick at work. Makes everyone happy. Except the ones unhappy, but nobody ever notices them.
