Do you force yourself to feel grateful? Is it even possible? How about burying arrogance?

ABCDEF7 · M
You can only forcefully make yourself fool. But you can be grateful with the different philosophies of life.

Understanding who you truly are, and having the right sense about others help you destroy arrogance. That is the part of spirituality.

@ABCDEF7 A hard lesson in life.

I think it's hard to feel genuinely grateful, maybe in moments we can. Seems it's something we feel afterwards. It's like I have to make a conscious effort to be.
Umile · 41-45, F
@Magenta I can feel you on that. Hats off to you for being honest.

@Umile Thank you. 🩷
It's easy to spout something that just sounds good, I'd rather not.

It’s so easy to be grateful. Every day I come up with several things to be grateful for first thing in the morning

when my kids were young I used to make them do a gratitude journal every day after dinner where they would write at least three things they were grateful for every single day

I think gratitude is so important for our own spiritual and mental well-being. the more that we are grateful for, The more out of our own head we become. It is proven that gratitude lists/journals actually really help people who suffer from depression to improve

No, gratitude never has to be forced. I have a ton to be grateful for.

One must remain humble to bury arrogance.

I can't say that it's forced, but I do always look for the good in things rather than focus on the bad. Being negative or bitter is exhausting so I steer away from those feelings and always remind myself that there are others with way less than me, and yes, I am grateful. I can't answer the part about burying arrogance because I've really never been arrogant 🙂

In a way. For me, I can't see past my frustrations. So, I force myself to stop and actually look at it and be grateful. Cause no matter what, it always can be worse.

I am grateful. And I think I'm most grateful in the hard times and when I pray.

Everyday. I try to be. I'm learning to be.

No. It cant be "forced" It comes when we decide to say AMEN to all of it and then the skies will open to you. The miracles will start.

Don't identify with your EGO. Remember you are NOTHING but your parents' child. All the rest is imagination therefore UNREAL.

And don't forget to love something/someone some cause so much GOD will wanna help you do it.
I rely on myself, thus there is no need to feel indebted or grateful. ☺
I think I’ve done that so much that it’s just natural
