Have we gotten so cynical.....

I kinda feel like I should feel something other than jaded amusement at the failure of civilization, the pretentiousness of some and the imminent conflict that we will all lose.

I’m honestly not feeling that amused, but rather sad. I’m looking at maybe 10-15 more years, and then I’m out of it.
But I have loved ones your age & younger. For your sakes I hope it won’t be nearly as apocalyptic as the conspiracy theorists like to predict.

@bijouxbroussard The conspiracy theorists delude themselves thinking they belong to some special enlightened minority that would thrive in it, possessing some kind of "forbidden knowledge" that nobody else has. Reality would be much, much uglier both for themselves and everyone else too.
