If I feel lonely most of the time and chat up with strangers here inspite of my current situation

Only you really know in your heart if it’s cheating. But from your question it seems you do know something needs to change or you will remain lonely. The chats are like popping a pain pill for something that needs surgery. Takes the edge off for a while.
