It’s not the lack of doing something, it’s just that you need to condition your mind to think about other things positively. Easier said than done
ABCDEF7 · M
I have both answers to it. Yes, & No as well.
Yes, this tells us we are here to do something in life. I am not saying it as purpose of live. But there must be a part that you have to play in the whole process of this world.
Do you like activities involving nature like gardening ?
No, once you get comfortable with yourself. You are at ease even when you are not doing anything. Try meditating, and exploring your inner self more.

Figure out what it is you're trying to escape.

@SW-User I don’t know why I feel sad. I shouldn’t really, it’s irrelevant, it’s not belonging here. Feeling nothing, in a healthy sense, in moments like this, moments of relative nothingness, that would have been more appropriate:)

I was thinking of writing a post on something similar to it. Why do electronics make you feel sad?
being · 36-40, F
@Unlearn firstly because it’s the attempt of connection, I get like a tiny bit of the connection I’m hoping for, which leads me to stay longer and longer till I feel I managed to connect a bit.
Secondly, it’s the perception it creates in me that something is happening, like in tv and old people, only to realise that not much have happened after a few hours.
Thirdly is the medium in itself that isn’t multi sensory, meaning it’s leaving my sense of touch, feeling the space and smell unsatisfied.
I can go on. I usually eat crap while looking at a screen too, without realising.. my body position isn’t the very best. And ultimately my mind, even that isn’t truly being stimulated all that much ..

@being From what I can understand you expect to feel alive, if not thrilled by electronic devices. You get disappointed when they don't live up to your expectations. Also, you seem like someone who believes that one has to be constantly doing something and be productive. Time isn't to be wasted. Maybe you feel a little guilty after you have spent enough time with electronics but it failed to deliver what you expected of it...
i can relate to this.
