Weird that I've watched Kenneth Branagh so long that our young prince Hal is now old enough to play Lear (just saw it announced).

Amazing. His movie of Henry V was what made me love and understand Shakespeare after struggling with it in high school and a college class. Still one of my favorite movies and now my kid loves it, too.
@Harmonium1923 His "St. Crispin’s Day" speech was inspired.
@Harmonium1923 Have you seen his film version of Much Ado About Nothing ? He was still married to Emma Thompson, and they were delightful together as Benedict & Beatrice. The opening credits were epic !

@bijouxbroussard Also excellent, but I prefer the histories and tragedies to the comedies. I’d LOVE to see him as King Lear.

@bijouxbroussard It is an excellent film. I saw it in the theater shortly after it was released.
