Weird that I've watched Kenneth Branagh so long that our young prince Hal is now old enough to play Lear (just saw it announced).

Amazing. His movie of Henry V was what made me love and understand Shakespeare after struggling with it in high school and a college class. Still one of my favorite movies and now my kid loves it, too.

@bijouxbroussard Also excellent, but I prefer the histories and tragedies to the comedies. I’d LOVE to see him as King Lear.

Very cool ! I wish I could go see it, but it’s a West End stage production, I understand. Branagh’s always really brought Shakespeare to life
