β˜€ β˜• πŸ™ Morning Reflection β˜€ πŸ“– β˜•

β€œDo not let a day pass without doing some good in it.” β€” St. Philip Neri

This quote spoke to me this morning. So often, we move through our days on autopilot , busy, distracted, weighed down by our own worries.

But goodness isn’t always about grand gestures or perfect timing. It’s about presence. It’s about remembering that even the smallest act done with love can ripple far beyond what we see.

Tonight, I’ll be cooking dinner at the local children’s shelter. It’s something I try to do once a month, but life has gotten in the way lately. Still, today, no matter what else is happening, I’m making space to show up. There’s something healing about giving , about setting aside our own chaos to simply be there for someone else.

Every time I go, I’m reminded that the act of giving nourishes the soul just as much as the meal feeds the body.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be big. Sometimes, doing good looks like listening without judgment, offering a smile, saying a kind word, or showing up for someone who feels forgotten.

What are some ways you find to show up for others , even in small, quiet ways?

I have an elderly neighbor lady ,we live in rural area .I would see her struggling to walk down to the mailbox ,i stopped and asked if i could stop on my way home and bring in her mail especially since it's getting colder .She was kind of hesitant probably thinking I'd rob her or something lol but she agreed. I started doing it every day then she invited me in and we talked she seemed sad that her family are not close by she missed cooking for them now every sunday she cooks dinner and i spend a few hours there . She is such an awesome lady ,so many stories about life . I'm not sure who gets more from it but i think it's me .

I don't carry on autopilot. I just energy manage as to not expend too much or use too little.

If I can live a slightly kinder life, that's enough.
