Im trying to rewrite my first novel.

When I was writing it I didn’t have any idea what I was doing and screwed up the word count so my chapters were around 16 pages. Not to mention every single publisher has rejected it so obviously there’s something wrong with it. I wish I had never trusted those scammers to publish my book and paid them all that money. The problem is Im trying to change the story but so far its mostly the same.

If you would like someone to give an opinion about it, send a few chapters to me and I can tell you what I think. I read a lot of books.
@swirlie Give yourself a day to reread what you wrote and then delete it.

Nah, I'm try to educate you, James. If you don't understand what I wrote and why I wrote it, then you need to come back for some remedial work with the other kids who don't get it either.

I'll tell you the easiest way to change the story. Commit yourself to copying it down word for word.

@LordShadowfire I think that would just end up with the same plot though.

If you wrote that novel in 1st Person Narration, try using 2nd or 3rd Person Narration using the exact same storyline and plot. By changing the perspective of the narrator from 1st to 2nd or 3rd, it changes the entire context of your story without having to come up with a new story and plot objective.
