But only in the books and with the original E H Shepard illustrations. There are two preferred narration voices for me: my Dad's or my 'head voice'. Since the former is no longer available to read to me as I go to sleep, I have to strain to remember his tones for my 'head voice' 😊

I don't wish to make a comment about the Disney abomination, so will leave it at that and you can judge for yourself which way I might lean in a debate about it. 🧐

I think mine was only ever my own voice in my head but I still have my copy of the book.

That is because it was a leaving present from my Infants' School form-teacher when Dad's work site was moved lock-stock and barrel from one county to another, forcing our and many other families to move about 100 miles.

I would not trust the Disney Corporation to create a version respectful to original book, author and illustrator, of a washing-machine operating-manual.
