When I was in Elementary school,I had to be barefoot in gym class.
It had it's ups and downs!

I don't recall being barefoot in both of the Infants' Schools I attended in two different counties (family move)*, and we all wore appropriate footwear for all Games and PE in the Primary School and L.E.A. Grammar.

*(I can't really remember what we did in Infants' School for "PE" but vaguely recollect using the BBC Schools broadcasts' Music and Movement, or similarly titled, on the wireless. These were simple, playful exercises to music.)
