First barefoot walk of the year!

Took way to long to do this, but I finally went on my first barefoot walk of the year today! Being back out in nature felt amazing, the grass underfoot and the mud between my toes made me realize just how much I actually missed barefooting. Definitely going on another soon!

Yesterday was my first serious walk of the season; I'm 100% barefoot full time anyway. Temp was 91 and it was a delight to feel that hot asphalt underfoot all day. The startling part was the walk on the bike trail that used to take 5 or hours took 8! I got home after dark exhausted and incredulous. Today it's biking.

I have begun my 3 mile morning walk. Been back at it for about a month or so. I do the whole thing barefoot and have for years. It's just around the neighborhood, but it's a mix of sidewalk, street and grass.

There's nothing like the feeling of mud between your toes. It's sheer joy!

Passed a milestone while out on the bike trail--got the season's first comment on how tough my feet are! Also proud to report a recent trip to Home Depot where I interacted with 4 or 5 employees and no one addressed my bare feet.

Barefoot is great when I am in no hurry

@irrelevant stubbing toes on tree roots can hurt!

Not as much as shoes.
kwood1 · 61-69, M
@irrelevant maybe not but people seem to want to wear shoes even when wearing nothing else!
