Did I give the right advice to my neighbor?

My next-door neighbor is a 40 something single Mom who is friends with my Mom.This woman only child is her 12-year old daughter.Of course,Ive met her.Shes a really pretty girl and she seems like shes nice.According to her Mom,the girl has gotten unto a "phase"where she insists on running around in her bare feet everywhere,indoors and outdoors.Her Mom has expressed worry that it may be unhealthy for her and is considering making her wear shoes again.I told her that while its her daughter and she can do what she wants,her attitude towards her daughters new habit is,in fact,not based on reality.The truth is that habitually going barefoot is excellent for devolping strong,healthy feet,especially in young children.Also,a child of 12 yrs have enough common sense to aviod any dangerous objects wile walking.I advised the Mom that shed be doing her daughter a favor by not only allowing her to go in bare feet all of the times,but actively encouraging her to do so.Is this good advice?

Yes thats is great advice and since her feet will still be developing and growing by going barefoot everywhere it will only help to develop healthy strong feet which she will be grateful of as an adult.

@Ross19 And you know,every time Ive seen the girl since I had that talk with her Mom,shes still running around barefoot everywhere,so I think the Mom took the advice!

@Ross19 Whenever I see the girl,I always point out her bare feet and "laugh at"her.She realizes Im only kidding and laughs right back.It would be hard for her not to understand that,because Im usually barefoot as well!

@NudeAllTheTime Well,its true we have sort ♥ 😄 of "bonded"over the fact that we both insist on bare feet.Her Mom knows about it ;she just smiles and rolls her eyes at us.A few times,I "babysat" her at my house and we had some really 😀 fun experiences that revolved around us both being in bare feet.

@NudeAllTheTime Not long ago,the Mom brought the girl over to my house to watch over her;the Mom was going to be gone for almost the whole day on personal business.The girl was wearing a T-shirt with jeans that were cut off at knee-length.I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt.Of course,we were both barefoot.When they came in,I greeted the girl by saying"Hi,barefoot girl!"She responded by flashing her feet around,one by one.I ,in turn,did the same-a sort of "salute"between us barefooters.For her part,the Mom just watched us her arms folded,rolling her eyes;smiling but with an expression on her face that seemed to say"Oh,you two!"During the day,we did alot of fun things.We both went on a barefoot walk across my lawn;as always,the grass felt like soft,cool velvet 😀 and Im sure it was the same way for her.While we were both frolicking around barefoot in rhe grass,we decided to have some fun with each other-we tooks turns stepping on each others toes/stamping on each others feet.It didnt hurt at all;it was pleasant-sort of squishy and almost senusal.We were both laughing and smiling as we took turns "squashing"each others "little bare tootsies"into the soft grass!It was alot of fun.

@DavidT8899 That sounds like a wonderful bonding experience to have with such a sweet and free girl. I’m sure she loved sharing her young feet with you. I hope you get to spend time with her again and continue having fun experiences and hopefully, have some more of those special moments. She will love having a young man like you to be barefoot with and be a role model on how to live more freely.

@NudeAllTheTime Thank you,and Im certain we will.In fact,I intend to have many more such experiences.The next thing I'd like do to w/her is have us both run around the streets of our neighborhood in bare feet like a couple of freaks 😉, and get the bottoms of our feet completely pitch-black.We could both go into stores and other public places just to see the reaction .

@NudeAllTheTime I thought you'd want to know that I received a very interesting offer from the girls Mom.She is going away one day this weekend and she's offered me money to help the girl-her name is Courtney-clean her house.I agreed to do it,and not just because of the financial incentive.I see it as an excellent opportunity to bond w/her over some more "barefoot time."Courtney and I have already discussed the general details of our cleaning plan;the first thing we agreed upon is that we will both,of course,go in our bare feet.So,Im affraid that we'll have to save the pitch black feet for another time.We both realize that for cleaning our soles should be pristine-Spic-n Span,BAREFOOT clean 😀 you might say!But Im sure we'll have a lot of fun.Meassage me if you want to hear about how it went.
