Do you take your time reading books?

You know to let the story marinate so that it feels like an actual big long adventure.

That's difficult with a good book

@dark548 I rarely re-read. Just not my thing. I'd have to really forget a book to reread, unless I was in a class or something.

@HannahSky Not me, if anything i think I find re-reading something more enjoyable because it's easier to read the second time around, it's more relaxing, and gives me more mental room to visualize better but that's just me.

@dark548 ah ok makes sense

I'll get so enthralled in a book I've missed entire days.

@Tython wow you have quite the imagination I presume. It be nice if I could do that once in a while on my days off. Really escape without the need of screens or technology.

@dark548 Gotta find the right book or the right author.

Some of mine were the Bartimaeus(might be spelt wrong) trilogy or Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality series.

@Tython I guess it's gotta be something very deep, psychological, and philosophical but mostly psychological.
I usually read a good book twice. The first time, quickly so I can find out what happens, and the second, to luxuriate in it.

@Mamapolo2016 I get what you mean. I might try reading a book almost to the end and then stop a few chapters short to re-read it before finishing the story. I think the ending will have a bigger effect/impact that way.

Yes. Reading for the sake of reading is boring
dark548 · M
@NickiHijab Sometimes you gotta let the story sit there for a little while before you pick it up again.
Eklipse · F
No I'm a fast reader and take in detail quickly.
