I was a useless tart when I left school.

Except at being a tart.

But you had potential
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@peterlee I had certain assets, and the skills to use them.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SchoolBelle you are teasing us.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 Certainly not!
peterlee · M
@SchoolBelle Which you developed to the full.

@peterlee Possibly - though we will never know what might have been.

@SchoolBelle were you a professional?
peterlee · M
@SchoolBelle I suspect they were luring latent, ready to be tapped later. Especially how successful you became.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 I did certain things I was paid for, which is like work so yes, I was a professional.

I did them well, so I was professional. I built a 20 year career on the back of that professionalism.

I have never received (or given) money directly in exchange for what we might commonly understand as a sex act. Which would make me an enthusiastic amateur.

@peterlee 😲 Later?
peterlee · M
@SchoolBelle Only you know the answer to that.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@peterlee It wasn't "later", it was at the time.
peterlee · M
@SchoolBelle what I am trying to is ‘I think you are comfortable within yourself’. and always have been.

I hope that makes sense.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SchoolBelle does that mean you modeled?
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@peterlee I was frequently very uncomfortable within myself, usually as a result of the actions of others.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 Yes, I did, from modest (though very immodest) beginnings at a local "camera club" to glamour and high fashion.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SchoolBelle wow, that is fantastic. Nothing to be shy or embarrassed about. You had it, you flaunted it. High fashion paid well I assume, so you profited nicely. I hope you will share some images.

Btw, I still go to open figure drawing sessions, aka clubs. I have many images in albums I took.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 Believe me, I have no shame or embarrassment about any of the ridiculously shameful and embarrassing things I have done.

My life, from my mid teens to my late thirties was a heady - and hedonistic - mixture of, in the words of Ian Dury, Sex and drugs and rock'n'roll.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SchoolBelle are you writing a book about it?
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 I have thought about it. But it is not just my story.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SchoolBelle you can de-identify others.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 Then it is not the story.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SchoolBelle are they important known people?
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 They are all important to themselves, many still important to me - i life or in memory. Known? Yes, some, for sure.
