Em, a little promiscuous?
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 A lot promiscuous.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SchoolBelle I was only joking, I didn't think you would want to discuss this publicly.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 Not really a discussion, just a statement of fact.

@SchoolBelle using everything to your advantage.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SchoolBelle you need to explain your comment better.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 Which comment?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SchoolBelle about your use of special assets after school.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 Ok, but, at the risk of appearing pedantic, I will have to "lay out my wares" on two different stalls.
"After school", as every schoolgirl knows, is that glorious time between leaving the rigid discipline of the school premises and arriving home to the more random discipline of the family.
The walk home was the opportunity to explore many freedoms, to cross many bridges, to achieve many firsts.
I think I can leave it to the collective imagination of SW to divine just what those explorations, crossings and achievements were.
"After school" also refers to that period of one's life that begins on the first day after one ceases to be registered as a pupil at any primary or secondary educational institution.
This was a time when, the rigid discipline of school having been removed, a greater amount of time was available for experimentation and pushing the envelope. So I did.

@SchoolBelle beautifully put. Most people probably experienced something like that. Fortunately, or not, I was unable to experience it. I went straight through my education always knowing that if I stopped, it slowed, i would be drafted, and for a while that meant going to Viet Nam. So i was a square, nerdy person. When i retired I finally was able to unleash a bit. But as a grandfather, my swings were mild.

@samueltyler2 I do think your reasons for remaining in education were compelling.
I believe my education started on the day I left school and continues to this day.

@SchoolBelle i hope never to stop being a life long learner. We should be friends!
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 I have added you.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SchoolBelle thanks, please respond to my PM so I can say a few things not to the public.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 Yes, of course.
@SchoolBelle I do love your understatement.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@Alfred22 😄 Why, thank you, kind sir!
@SchoolBelle I am a Yank and so I do enjoy BBC English but rarely speak it.
For example, I usually deliberately answer "It's me." when asked "Who's there?" Thus, I deliberately use the objective case or the first person personal pronoun!
What do you say to a similar inquiry?
