I'm not really interested with keeping up with the Joneses.

I used to wonder how people in our neighborhood managed to afford all the nice fancy stuff they were buying then during the time of the 90s crash, their cars and houses were all being repossessed.
We were able to weather through that time because before, we lived conservatively and saved money.
My kids didn't get fancy new bikes and cars like their friends but they still had a house to live in when the economy took a shit.

And once you don't care about the Jone's, life becomes so much easier. Good call.

Pools are very expensive to maintain.......I have 2 friends that have pools and their sitting empty now.......

That is something we have never cared about.

More interested in ending oppressive systems of any kind actually
