I haven't been on an airplane since 1988. Hopefully never again.

Unless it’s out of the country , I don’t fly commercial . We did fly from Miami to Nassau ! 90 miles over the ocean! We rented a water landing survival kit to have in the plane just in case. It was pretty cool . We flew it at night ( hubby’s idea) and it was pitch black for about 30 mins . Then seeing the lights in the distance and the plane’s instruments glowing in front of me in the jet black was fun.. If my husband hadn’t been with me, it would have been a bit more concerning . Fuel is outrageous though !

Before 9/11 I had to fly a ton for my job and they were super quick with the upgrades. Had a lot of first class flights even though I couldn't afford them. It really is a different way to fly. Just like watching a pro sports event up close instead of the nose bleeds. Comes down to the Haves and Have Nots.
sometimes, when booking flights with multiple layovers you can upgrade a portion of the flight for very little but it upgrades you across all your flights that day.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@nonsensiclesnail I have never tried to upgrade may be I should but then i never take a lot of stop overs to save time
I've done 1st class a couple of times on cross country trips and don't think extra cost is worth it. Although I once got upgraded to business class on a flight from Seattle to London. I have to admit that was pretty nice.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
I only pay for it on longer flights.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@StevetheSleeve rich you 😒
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@Donotfolowme Lol. I have long legs.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@StevetheSleeve and fat bank balance 🤨🙄
SW-User
Me neither, flying is already enough of a privilege.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@SW-User hahah its a necessity since we can't walk that far
sarabee1995 · 26-30, FVIP
If you fly often they often upgrade you for free. 😁
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@sarabee1995 I use different airlines each time
prefer the perks of flying first class when we travel
SW-User
Try economy plus ..you get a little extra room
I don’t fly. It’s cheaper to go on a cruise holiday than a first class flight.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@Gingerbreadspice I dont trust water
@Donotfolowme Boats have life boats but planes don’t have parachutes. That’s my reasoning.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
No I can’t and I wouldn’t pay for it anyways unless it was an extremely long flight
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@Jenny1234 Yea i actually meant a flight over 8 hours
fun4us2b · M
If you plan ahead the exit rows are usually more roomy and just a tad more than main...
I can afford it but not worth it to me.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@Sojournersoul its worth if you are travelling 15 hours of flight
@Donotfolowme I have travelled that far and did just find in coach.
AndysAttic · 56-60, M
No need, I have a pet pterodactyl that attends to all my flying needs.
JovialMoose · 51-55, M
I mostly fly southwest.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@JovialMoose All long hours flights have buss/1st class option
meggie · F
I've flown business class with work a few times and once when I got upgraded at the airport. I don't think it is worth it though unless you are filthy rich.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@meggie Did your work pay for it?
meggie · F
@Donotfolowme yes only because there was only business class seats left. Otherwise I would of flown economy.
