Is racism in the southern U.S. different than other parts of the country?

I've heard that parts of the southern U.S. have Jim Crow era racism, but I have never been there so I wouldn't know first hand.

Southern states still have the lowest literacy rates in the country, of course ignorance is going to be more prevalent in that region.

@Ducky that’s not true at all

@JesseInTX It is. But I have nothing to say to you, "councilman".

@Ducky once again you are factually inaccurate. But that doesn’t surprise me.
@JesseInTX It's true.

@BohemianBabe it’s nowhere near true. Of the States with the 10 lowest illiteracy percentages it’s split 5-5 from the southern states and all others. But then you also have to look at population of the states. California is number 1. And the most populous state. NY is second. I’m not gonna spend my time educating you or her on all the different factors for each state. But you and her are factually not only wrong, but intentionally biased.
@JesseInTX I presented evidence. I know you won't.

@Ducky They also have the lowest % of whites in the populations.

Are you saying only white people can be literate?

@SW-User I have nothing to say to you.

@Ducky Quit while you're behind and don't make racist generalizations
