Thongs. I think in US they are what we call flip flops. But here they are underwear I don't think I would be allowed to wear.

@Blodyn 😂😂 You have to remember that the US has to be different to the R.O.W.
Blodyn · 22-25, F
@TJNewton The Rebublic of Wight. Is this the Isle of Wight getting independence before my country?
TJNewton · M
@Blodyn Lol R.O.W. means Rest of (the) World

Sorry. I am so used to the idea that my country may one day be a republic. And many other parts of the UK too. EU has gone from our lives. UK is next to go. Then we shall be free.

@Blodyn Are you more concerned about independence, or is it about republicanism, or the preservation (mandated?) of language, or what? Maybe you don't see them as separate issues - just an all or nothing sort of thing. Do you see any potential downsides to aspects of nationalism?

@Really We just had a local election. The choice was Plaid Cymru or Gwlad. But Plaid Cymru been around for ever and achieved nothing. I voted Gwlad. The independence party.

@Blodyn I'm not asking how you voted in an election. I'm asking about your personal attitudes to the specific issues I named.
Blodyn · 22-25, F
@Really Which were? Please extract the specific points from your discussion?
Really · 80-89, M
@Blodyn All three; no extraction. Have you lost my post?
Blodyn · 22-25, F
@Really Ask me specific questions. English is not my first language.
Really · 80-89, M
@Blodyn I already asked you three specific questions followed by a third (i.e. have you now lost them?) But if you're not competent in English I won't trouble you any further.
Blodyn · 22-25, F
@Really You are very intolerant. I speak English very well, though I learnt it in school, being in the UK. And growing up in Welsh.
Your questions are not clear.
Please itemize them and I shall answer.

@Blodyn I don’t know wtf you and “Mr. Old and Curmudgeonly AF”, are talking about, but thongs are naughty underwear in the US too. Flip flops are also called flip flops here.

@SW-User Don't feel bad. You wouldn't be the only one here who doesn't know what others are talking about.
