@Soossie Nature is another good one.

zoloft, it eventually works, but unless you need it, I'd recommend avoiding it. Nasty withdraw symptoms, or you know... you just accept its Rx'd to you for life, how fun

I haven't but my step-son was on it for awhile last year before the doctor switched him. He didn't like it, it kept him awake at night, and when he did sleep he had weird dreams.

I'll double-check when he gets home.

@Crypitika thanks.😊👍
Coz after my experience, id like to get some first hand knowledge, rather than a doctor shoving presumed meds at me.

@OogieBoogie Oh, yeah he seems to be calmer.

I have not tried it myself. Some of my friends did, and I heard a lot of bad things about it. The only person I knew who had a positive experience was a friend who took it in small dose temporarily to relieve depression caused by grief.

I spent the rest of the night next to the toilet vomiting. 🤷 However I have also heard that some people do just fine on it.

Yes it helped but messes with sex drive. Alot of antidepressants do that, for males anyway..

@SW-User Yeah, thats one of the side effects that keep me from using it, I tried it once and it did affect me negatively that way and I stopped, right now I'm trying it again, so far no effects after 2 weeks but we'll see. Wish there was a way to skip that side effect

I didn’t do well on any of those types of medication. Mostly nightmares and some suicidal thoughts.

No, I just tried Xanax, but I prefer not to use any pills.
Spumoni · 46-50, M
Prozac, yes. Zero side effects unlike what I used to take.

It turns you into a zombie.

My wife did. She turned into a different person.

@OogieBoogie thats awesome! Have you hear of Serenagen? It’s a subtle mixture of herbs that calms my nerves when I have to do a presentation in front of co workers. It’s authentic mix is made and sold by metagenics.
OogieBoogie · F
@MindfulSerenagen? Nope, not at all.
This sounds like the type of thing I need.
I only have moments to try and stop an escalation.
I'll look it up, thanks 🤗

@OogieBoogie it’s hardly noticeable except that for me, Iat the end of the day I will realize, I had les of an anxious day than I expected. I try not to to use it often because it works for my presentation days

Makes me hostile and angry.
Fluffybull · F
