How do you think suppository meds were discovered? Who was the victim?!!!

My uncle Waldo invented them in 1933. He was a fun fella!
In his novel Hopscotch, Julio Cortazar muses how the anus has become a second mouth.
@LeopoldBloom We still don't want detailed descriptives 😶
@NativePortlander1970 It's not that detailed. It's one line from one character.

Is this your first time hearing how suppositories work?
hunkalove · 70-79, M
@LeopoldBloom I had a copy of Hopscotch for many years but could never get into it. I do still have a copy of Blow-up and Other Stories that I have read many times but I'm going blind and can't read real books anymore.
very long ago.. early bronze age
and some of them worked

You'll be thrilled to learn the word "suppository" dates back to 1763 when the Latin "suppositorium" was first used to mean a substitute for an enema. It's generally believed the actual use of suppositories dates back a few thousand years so no one knows for sure who first figured this one out.

If it was by trial and error, I shudder to think of what the first seven prototypes were like.
