Definitely! Guilty as charged. im often convinced of my own shortcomings to such an extent i dont bother to try. I recently had brain surgery and am still getting my bearings; regardless, yes people are often so selfconscious they are convinced they wont succeed to the point of missing out on the opportunity to even try.

Yes. When I asked my wife for a date the first time, she turned me down with a fairly good excuse. I thought she was just to pretty and popular for me, so I gave up. A few weeks later, she asked me for a date and wondered why I hadn't asked her again. We married almost 8 years later.

HoeBag · 46-50, F
@MayorOfCrushtown I guess that Dwight Yoakam song, Try Not To Look So Pretty, really spoke to you?
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
Thats sometimes actually true.
HoeBag · 46-50, F
How come you have such bad luck dating?
PaleandPolluted · 36-40, F
@HoeBag i dont actually know. It was obvious the others were awful from the start but not this last 1.
HoeBag · 46-50, F
@PaleandPolluted Yeah it happens that way. New lovers or even friends are so well behaved at first but eventually (typically within a few months or less) the real version of them comes out and it is seldom pleasant.
