A few possibilities include:
Minor bruise/hematoma, especially if there was rubbing, bumping, or minor trauma.
Inflamed/blocked eyelid gland (stye/chalazion), although these more commonly form a distinct tender lump along the eyelid.
Less commonly, an infection or inflammation around the eye.
What you can safely do at home
If this appeared after rubbing or a bump:
Use a clean, cool compress over the closed eye for about 10–15 minutes at a time, several times today. Don't press on the eyeball.
If there is a small tender lump on the eyelid suggesting a stye:
A warm (not hot) clean compress for 10–15 minutes, 3–5 times daily can help it drain naturally. Don't squeeze or pop it, and avoid eye makeup/contact lenses until it settles.
Avoid putting home remedies directly into or around the eye—for example turmeric, honey, oils, toothpaste, herbal extracts, or rose water. They can irritate the eye or introduce infection.
Get medical attention promptly if
vision becomes blurred or decreased
there is significant or increasing eye pain
the eye becomes very swollen or difficult to open
there is pain when moving the eye or double vision
redness/swelling is rapidly spreading around the eye
there is fever
this followed a significant injury
the eye appears pushed forward or there is severe headache/nausea.

Just a small black eye maybe. That's sensitive skin there. I got a black eye from blowing my nose once when young

You've given yourself a black eye. It's very easy to do when your skin gets thinner. I suspect you might have been rubbing your eyes.
