Trump claiming that 100% of jobs are taken by illegal immigrants is laughable.

I'm white and get those kinds of jobs all the time, in fact I work in one right now. The types that complain, if you know who they are, aren't hurting for money so they can't honestly tell me they actually sign up for factory work or hot labor jobs during the day. That's insane to really suggest that you white people are out there just signing up in full fledged numbers to go work out there. I'm going to say something controversial, the historical slave trade in America specifically was perpetuated mostly by white people who didn't want to work in the fields at 5 am.

What makes you think you want to work in hot fields now when you have a history of not wanting to work?

There's a reason the problem never gets solved, even when conservatives who complain about it get majorities in government. Well, two reasons really. The smaller reason is if they fix it they can't run on it anymore.

The larger reason is that it's more profitable to keep illegal immigrants as an othered group of people. Illegal immigrants are a cheap source of expendable and abusable labor. They can't go to law enforcement about their treatment without fear of being deported so the only other source of help would be for voters to change the system. By fear mongering about these people, the republican party prevents voter sympathies from growing strong enough to actually drive for protections.

@ViciDraco Makes sense and they know they would lose power quickly and they want to hold onto it as much as possible. Explains why they been so overtly psychotic lately. They've always said some crazy stuff but the way they been acting is just insane. I mean Project 2025? Literally psychotic.
