I don't understand

I feel like my partner is constantly lying to me. But I can't confront him about it, since it feels like we're both on edge. He lied to me before and I don't understand his need to constantly lie. It's not like I won't love him whoever he is. I'd still kiss him even if we become the most hideous person in the world.
