How do I ask for a hug

So I have this friend and he’s my only guy friend (IM TAKEN I SWEAR I DONT LIKE HIM LIKE THAT PLUS HE’S STRAIGHT) and I’m hanging out with him and I just want a hug from him even though we’ve been friends for 2 years I’ve never hugged him but I don’t want to just say “can I have a hug” so yeah please help me
